The European-style Kandahar Lodge is located at Whitefish Mountain Resort, 7 miles from Whitefish, Montana, 32 miles west of Glacier National Park, and approximately 22 miles from Glacier International Airport. The Lodge is a base camp for summer explorations of nearby Glacier National Park and in the middle of the action for winter snow sports. Zip lines, alpine slide, hiking, mountain biking, chairlift rides and a canopy tour are within walking distance of the Lodge. The Village area of Whitefish Mountain Resort also offers dining, drinking and shopping. In the winter the S.N.O.W. bus provides free shuttles to/from Whitefish. Day trips from Kandahar may include hiking, mountain biking, wildlife viewing, sightseeing, fishing, boating, swimming, a balloon flight, shopping, museums, theater, and excellent dining. Winter brings skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, horse-drawn sleigh rides, and dog-sled adventures. Kandahar Lodge is located in a ski-in location.
