The Watermark Hotel and Spa located on a quiet section of the Riverwalk is a Non Smoking Hotel, this 99-room hotel greets guests with a sumptuous lobby anchored by a large limestone fireplace and appointed with leather chairs, wrought-iron furnishings, and rich, warmly colored fabrics. Opened in January 2003, the hotel offers an attractive downtown location for business travelers, conventioneers, and vacationing couples. Signature, Western-inspired therapies include the Avocado Lime Blossom Scalp and Body Treatment, the Mesquite Clay Wrap, and the Purple Sage Salt Glow. Three blocks from the hotel is the Alamo, home to the most famous battle of the Texas Revolution. Although many visitors are content to have their photo taken out front, there is much to see inside. The old church displays artifacts from Alamo heroes, including William Barret Travis' ring and Davy Crocketts buckskin knife.
