In 1771 this comfortable Federal-style home and two nearby structures were built by John Whitlock who welcomed overnight guests. A few years later a small section was added to join the buildings and The Village Inn soon gained a reputation for fine hospitality a tradition that has continued for over 200 years. Today the Inn offers modern amenities while its unique and historic charm has been carefully retained.
