The Wonder View Inn is located on the site of Farview, the estate of Mary Roberts Rinehart, famous writer of mystery stories. The stone steps and walls on grounds are remnants of the original Rinehart Estate. Most of the Estate and 100's of surrounding homes were destroyed by fire in 1947.

This Days Inn is located on Mount Desert Island, so we have only one -1- way in and out and that is Route 3. We do have a lot of activities for you to enjoy during your stay such as: fishing, boating, whale watching, hiking, biking, and mountain climbing just to name a few.
